Position Overview:

We seek a reliable Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to manage our day-to-day shipping operations. The successful candidate will handle incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.

Responsibilities:

- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against packing lists or purchase orders, ensuring shipments are complete and free of damage or defects.

- Ensure all items received are received properly against the job they are intended for, and inform project supervisors that parts are in.

- Ensure shipping supplies are well-stocked and order items as needed.

- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labelling them accurately. Coordinate with project supervisors to organize shipment of larger, often crated items.

- Coordinate with carriers and logistics companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.

- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments using computerized systems or manual logs.

- Assisting with the warehouse's organization and maintenance of inventory, including conducting regular stock checks and replenishing supplies as needed.

- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and containers using forklifts or other equipment.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations preferred.

- Experience in QuickBooks or inventory management software is considered an asset.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

- Reliable transportation to and from our shop.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods.
