Salary:

$25-$35/hr + Health, Dental

As a CAD Technician at KJ Controls, you will play a critical role in the design and development of our automation and control systems. You will work closely with our engineering and project management teams to create precise and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical software. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.


Responsibilities:
• Create detailed electrical and controls drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop design concepts and specifications.
• Create and maintain symbol and component library within AutoCAD Electrical
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes and improvements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings and models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized records of all CAD files and related documentation.


Qualifications:
• Post-Secondary education in CAD, Drafting, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD Electrical.
• Strong understanding of drafting principles and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in automation, control systems, or related industries
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, and Motor Control Systems

As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in estimating and managing industrial control system projects, managing customer and vendor relationships, driving business development initiatives, and collaborating with our sales and engineering team to offer innovative solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Estimate and manage industrial control system projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Develop and nurture strong relationships with customers and vendors, acting as a primary point of contact and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

• Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, cultivating leads, and participating in sales meetings and presentations.

• Collaborate with our sales and engineering team to develop customized solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Position Overview:

KJ Controls is seeking a skilled and motivated Shop Technician to join our team in Nanaimo, BC. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment. They will be responsible for operating equipment in the shop and preparing items for distribution. The requirements involve assembling, wiring, and checking products, ensuring all machinery runs smoothly, and assisting in the packaging and shipment of items. As a Shop Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our products, contributing to the success of our clients' operations.

Responsibilities:

- Maintaining a clean working environment

- Assembling Products and Parts

- Following production guidelines and specifications

- Finalizing and packaging products for shipments

- Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment

- Working on the production team and meeting production targets.

- Reporting any issues to the MCC or Panel shop supervisor on duty

- Performing other tasks as assigned

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as health and safety regulations

- Assist with various shop duties as required daily

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility is preferred.

- Experience operating manufacturing machinery.

 - Able to work as part of a team.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Basic math skills.

- Physical dexterity.

- Experience operating hand and power tools.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy options, bend, and stand for extended periods.
